tingling

It has been 6 weeks since protected vaginal sex with a sex trade worker. I've been tested for STD's but still worry about herpes. I have nearly constant tingling sensations on my penis. Is this just psychosomatic? I've read lots of info about people not knowing that they have herpes and fear that this is my case. When can I stop worrying?

I had tingling in my scrotum with the scrotum constantly morphing for 2 days or so - that was roughly 48 hrs after exposure...but I ended up with an ulcer with raised defined walls around it on my anus - along with proctitis/hemroid type symptoms the following week...I had protected vaginal sex...the anus was not involved. could this be a result of me worrying to death about the tingling that I saw online is characteristic of herpes?

I'm a heterosexual male and had one regretful experience with a CSW

it probably is psychosomatic.  we get a lot of that around here :)

If you have constant symptoms, return to your provider for further evaluation. Just tingling all the time and no obvious lesions isn't very likely to be due to genital herpes.
