Hi to both of you,

Keep checking out some of the posts on this site ... also check some profiles. I need to update mine, but my old posts can be found on my profile and you might find the information helpful. I am not a doctor, just someone who has been on Bioidentical hormones since 2000 after my Hysterectomy (radical). I, too, started that very day on an estrogen patch. I use Vivelle Estradiol... climara is good, too. Newer research indicates that Estradiol (the kind of estrogen we had pumping through us in our 20's) is the only way to go.

The book I mentioned a thousand times has been the most helpful to me. "Screaming to be Heard" by Dr. Elizabeth Lee Vliet is an amazing (and huge) book. Don't let it overwhelm you. You have to do the reseach on this stuff or it will get the better of you. We are our hormones (my opinion and the opinion of others, too).

Best to both of you. There is help out there... Vliet has a website, too. You may drop me a note if you want.

Mary
