I agree with gma in that it could be adhesions/scar tissue. Anytime anyone has some type of abdominal surgery there is a good chance that scar tissue will build up. Now, in some cases these adhesions will not cause a problem, but sometimes even just a little bit of scar tissue will cause a great deal of pain.
See my notes on this forum regarding surgical adhesions. If your doctor is okay with doing the type of massage I did, I would go for it. I am amazed to this day that I was able to clear all of mine out...and this was noted, as I mentioned in my post on adhesions, by the doctor who did my lap in June of this past year. He was stunned...knowing I'd had my hysterectomy in 2000.

It could be some scar tissue from the hysterectomy..I am just taking a guess..I had a hysterctomy in May,,, there are still times I get back pain on one side,,,I have my yearly checkup next month and will ask the doctor if this is normal..doesnt hurt to go see the dr..this way you can not worry.
