It would be great if we could have a radio or personal radio stations that people could click on to listen to...

I know that Yahoo Music, for one, has these available....and for me, music is a great mood booster and distractor or all things unpleasant, like pain...I listen to music all the time, including while I'm on the computer.  As people get to know each other, they might like to listen to whatever someone else is diggin' or see what is makin' someone feel so damned good, ya know?  So if it's at all possible, I think it would be kicka$$ to have these and one could say, I like the same kind of music that Jacqui likes, or I wonder what she likes, or I want to feel like she does, I'll click on her station.....

I am computer illiterate, so I have no idea if this is possible here, but I thought I'd throw it out there.....

Thanks MH......Like I said, it was just a thought.  I don't actually need a site that offers music, as I have so many I use now.  I should explain better....As a member of the Addiction Forum, I've seen many members ask what are some good tunes to listen to to help them through the withdrawl process.  We all have our favorites, and since some of us gel together in some ways, I thought maybe an asking member, could just click on another member to see what they listen to.  Some of us are in better moods than others sometimes, and someone who's feeling down could maybe listen to the stuff that elevates the other.  It was more about sharing music.  It's cool though, I hadn't even thought about expense before, I really had no idea....thanks for reading this and for the opportunity to ask the question.

Thanks for the suggestion. We'd love to try and meet the needs of all our members, but as AR-10 guessed, this could be an expensive feature. When we try to prioritize what features to work on, we always give priority to features directly related to health. There are many sites out there that play music and probably would do a much better job at helping you find music than a health site would. If you'd like to find sites like this, you may want to post something in the Social forum. I also believe that there is a couple very active threads in the Social community discussing music.

Thanks,
MedHelp

Hey man, no need to apologize....This site is all about puttin' in our own opinions right?  Yeah, I'm always listening to music, stuff I've downloaded or via mp3 player, or YouTube...I just put it out as a thought.

To be honest, I don't know a thing about computers and web sites to know what's expensive let alone how to accomplish such a request...I'm fine keepin' my own tunes on, but I thought it could be interesting and good to listen to what other people groove to.  I'm always lookin' for new music, so that would be a fun way to listen....

Can't you open a new window and listen to music from another site?

I understand what you're saying, and I'm not Medhelp, so my opinion may not be wanted.

But...this site is loading slower every day, and glitches occur which make me close out of Internet Explorer and start over. There are plenty of bells and whistles already, if you ask me.

If Medhelp were to dedicate more resources to any feature, spellcheck would be awesome! I can find music anywhere.

Again, I understand what you are saying. But if I want to know what you are grooving to, I can PM you. Giving us each our own radio to play with sounds extremely expensive, and I can't really see very many people caring what music I'm listening to, if they could even access my station.

Just my opinion.
Sorry for butting in. I'm bored today.
