Opus - I'm checking with tech about this.

Emily, my 'watch this forum' at the top of a page has NEVER worked, I only get notifications when I check the 'add to watch list' at the end of the post.
I've tried several times clicking it on and off (above) and theres no difference.
Oh ok, I see. But wouldn't most people most of the time want to have it on their watchlist? If so then maybe it would make more sense to have it automatically checked and the minority can uncheck it if they want. OR, I was wondering originally if it could have it's own watch list. i was actually looking for such a thing under my posts. Maybe there could be some kind of response notification there!?
Thanks for the other information too!
Ash
Well, I'm not sure of the "official" answer, but that could add up to a HUGE watch list for some people, if they had everything on a watch list.
You can also choose to watch entire forums. At the top right, you'll see a little green + sign, with "Watch this forum". Just click on the link.
Another tip - after awhile, your watch list will grow and grow. You can go in and clean out the older threads that are inactive.

Hi Emily and swampcritter :)
I guess I am getting automatic responses to my posts, thanks for the info. But I am still wondering why the Watch List box isn't automatically checked for posts one responds to? I suggest that the box be automatically checked for both!
Thanks
Yes, Swampcritter is correct. If you aren't getting notifications, you might want to check your email notification settings. Go to My MedHelp, then Account Settings (just under My MedHelp), and adjust it to how it works best for you.
Emily
Just to be clear,
When you post a question, add to watch list is automatically checked.
When you post a response the box is not automatically checked.
