I agree with Sumanadevii; the editing option on other boards is very helpful.
(But let's say a 5-minute window for editing?)
I often type too quickly, trying to get answers out to as many people as possible when I have time available. But for some reason, I have difficulty catching my typos, word omissions, and similiar mistakes when scrolling up and down in the little composition box.
Once my answer is posted on the board, my ridiculous errors GLARE out at me! :-(
I am concerned that this sometimes undermines the credibility of otherwise competent work, but if I repeatedly, perfectionistically proofread each answer, I will not be able to help as many people...
Thanks for listening to my dilemma,

Hi -
Thanks for that suggestion. That's a good idea, and we welcome the feedback. :)

Thank you for responding. Some boards allowing editing for just two or three minutes after a post. This way it is only used for corrections in spelling or grammar....or a missed letter or word. I do wish MH would consider it again.
Hi there -
We don't have an option for members to edit their posts because it could really end up disrupting the flow of a discussion if members went in and changed what they said, etc. It's something we are continually talking about, but for now, have opted not to include.

I would like to see an edit button too. With all the technology it should be rather simple to add to the board. Is there a reason MH is holding out on it?
Hi Bill -
We understand that it sometimes happens, and we would be happy to talk with you personally if this has happened. We may be able to edit it for you.
Send me a PM if this is happening now, and not just a "what if" situation.
Thanks,
Emily
What if I said something that I regret because it might offend someone and I would like to remove it? Editing a post or deleting it is important functionality.
You can't edit your post after posting. Please compose a new post with the other information and add it to the thread following your original post.
