my aunt has been to india and a week after she came back had fever and sweating for the past ten days. body aches and more sweating at night. she had blood tet at the hospital but shows malaria as negative. but her white blood cells have increasd due to some kind of infection. she had been taking anti malarial tabs before and while she was in India. do you think that this is a tropical infection ? she has lost half a stone as well.she had breast cancer about 10 years ago and also has thyroid otherwise she is pretty heathy.She went to gujarat in india.

I would recommend she consult an Infectious Disease Specialist; background in International Travel Medicine if this persist.  

Has she been screened for parasites? Typhoid?

I would definitely suggest that she see her own personal physician and ask for a complete blood panel work up and any other tests that are necessary. The fact that she has had stomach cancer could cause her to have a weaker immune system than others.
