Lupron/Fertility

by magzs1112, Jun 13, 2009 07:39PM
I was diganoised with stage 3 endometriosis in april 09, my RE has me on a three month ( one injection) Lupron.  I got the shot on the 27th of April and I just had my estrogen level check and was 135.  I believe it should be under 20?  So I had a booster shot.  Is the lupron not supressing the endo?  We are tcc and other than the endo my dh and i have no other problems. My peroid is every 28 days, no problem ovulating, tubes clear, and sperm good.  What do u think out chances of conceiving are?  I have never had any pain with the endo but I have had several cysts( and a few that have ruptured).  At the end of July/Aug my RE said to have intercourse EOD to hit ovulation.  Do you think we may have a good shot at getting pregnant on our own, or is IUI,IVF the way to go with endometriosis?  Thanks for your help.

Success with pregnancy dependes on age. However, people with endometriosis hava a lower chance of pregnancy when they try on their own or do injectables with IUI. Therefore, after taking Lupron, doing IVF would give you the best chances of becoming pregnant if you have endometriosis. I would suggest talking with your REI to proceed with IVF.
