Need some help with syptoms that are progressively getting worse.

Hello, I need to explain that when I was 18 I began having some stomach issues that most doctors pass of fas IBS, my syptoms dibilitate me and I have no insurance which is why I am turning here for some medical advice. I am an artist that often sets up late, all night, sometimes for up to two days on paintings (my paint is acryllic and has no fumes so it doesn't contribute to my symptoms). Then I began to vomit uncontrollably until everything I had on my stomach was gone, once I had a full 6 to 9 hours of sleep that never seemed to happen; so I tried to get a good night's sleep and go to sleep the same time every night, but it was difficult and I always end up working on an all nighter. If I sat up late an ate anything I would vomit, then one day I noticed that the back of my thighs bloated out some, I thought it was fluid underneath my skin and it really scared me, but when I sat down, the bulge moved up to the top of my thigh and I realized that this was trapped gas...wierd. So 20 minutes after that I threw up uncontrollably again, after that, the bulge in both of my thighs were gone and that confirmed it was trapped gas. When I set up late, excess gas must be building up and causing me to vomit, and now it has gotten to where if I don't go to sleep even exactly on time or  a little before, I toss my food. Just last night, I went to sleep just 15 minutes after I should have, at 7, and this morning after I already had slept, I dry heaved for thirty minutes. I know this is a lot of blabbing, but I need help with this, I can't do much these days unless I go without eating, I never have been overweight, and I weigh about 140-147 normally, but that is slowly going down, now to 120. I can't starve to death so please give me some advice on how to treat this before it gets worse, and does anyone know what this is? Please!

PS, if you can't fart or are having problems doing so, lay on your back against a wall and tilt your body up till your feet and abdominal are against the wall almost standing on your head, or get an anti  gravity table, they work great. Gas rises and it will come out. No one likes a trapped fart, you must set them free so they can find other hosts ;-)

Hi, yes, coffee is a strong diuretic, you have to drink 3 glasses of water for each cup you drink right after, it also dries up your colon. Any dairy will set it off too, go to a natural organic meat diet, lamb will lubricate your colon and help with the fatty lubricant that you need. tons of water and no caffeine, nicotine, and dairy products. A change in diet like this is a good change, your not loosing anything, your gaining something, your health back.

Thank you, I hope it gets resolved soon, and  I didn't know that about coffee being a trigger food for IBS, or that it was acidic, thanks again.

It sounds like there are a few things going on and many possible causes. If you do have IBS then you may or may not know that coffee is a trigger food for IBS as are alchohol, sugars, whole grains, fatty foods, raw vegetables and some fruits.

A lot of this could possibly be managed by the foods you eat and there are many websited on best appropriate foods to lower the excess bloating and gas.

Lack of sleep increases stress which most likely has made your body more acidic, and coffee is one of the most acidic foods along with others. Check your PH level of your urine. You can get home ph test strips from a health food store for $10. The acidity in your body could be contributing to the vomiting along with other things.

I don't claim to know what is directly happening, but I can share some suggestions from personal experience.

Oh yeah, try and stay away from liquid foods.

Good Luck

Nope, I have painted since forever, it's the lack of sleep that I think is causing it, but when I do get lots of sleep, it still doesn't seem to go away. As of restricting food, I'll eat anything if I can handle it, but when all this started I began to be intolerant to lots of stuff, coffee, breads, eggs, etc. Meaning, it makes me hurl, or my stomach fells like it's on fire.

ah the arts i too paint and can understand not wanting to leave a sitting often stayed up hours myself maybe the fumes i do mostly oils
anyway so you have been to the doc and they tell u have ibs right
ok let me say first u normally had the same weight but this has dropped now 27 pounds that is a lot ,you should not restrict your diet unless u have means to---- that is if u have a allergy to something {lactose and so forth} and certainly without a doctors consultation.
your body does most of its work when it is alsleep and getting proper sleep is essential for you.
if you are having problems with eating try keeping a food diary and if you have a reaction keep it noted but it is important to eat a well balanced diet ibs or no ibs if u understand what i mean
art is a great talent but remember it is one u should enjoy--but u also need to enjoy your rest ------ there are also things you can take to help with trapped wind
talk to your pharmacist.if u cant go to your doc
and if u dont mind me asking did any of this start when starting painting acryllic can be have fumes as well just not as potent as oils just a thought
