Pains in Stomach in the morning

For the past 3 months I have been waking up with pains in my stomach, either right unger my rib cage or right below my belly button. I have had a colonoscopy and the doctor said, I had IBS. Then 2 weeks ago I had a CT scan with contrast and they said, I have diverticulis. Would that cause the pains in my stomach ? I also feel very tired in the morning and it takes me about a half an hour to get out of bed. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I would recommend seeing a gastroenterologist if you haven't already and talking to them about starting on some treatments for the IBS and/or diverticulitis.

Welcome to the IBS community!  The pains in your stomach could be caused by the IBS or the diverticulitis.  Did the doctor suggest any treatment for either of these?
