Still Hope?

My boyfriend was diagnosed 6 yrs ago with Hep C.  A byopsy 3 yrs ago showed stage 3 with cirrosis.  He was unable to continue treatment due to low blood and red & white counts down.  He was never given a pro-crit shot during the 4 wks he was on treatment.  That was 2 yrs ago.  My question-he is now jaundice-well yellow in the eyes and starting on his skin-is there anything that can be done for him now or are we passed that stage.  He has no insurance and had been going to the VA hospital for care-but never quite satisfied with them.  What if anything should  or can we do?   Thanks Brendi

I don't know what I did but I wiped out our conversations-I printed them so I'm allset but with all your E mainls I don't know if you remember-Boyfriend diagnosed 6ys attempted treatment at the VA-you suggested an application for liver transplant referral?  I'm still not sure waht that is-is it to get on a list?  Remember-also you asked any other ins besides VA-possibly.  Well I don't know if it's too late-he was admitted yest to the West Roxbury VA.  For a short time we were hopoing complications from his gall bladder cause that's where he was tender-but he called me last night after many hrs of labs-twice-and an ultrssound.  I said well let's pray for gall bladder but he said no they said it's the liver-doesn't sound good does it.  Well thaks for listening to me these past few days-I just wish I hadn't learned so much cause I know-huh-Brendi
