My mom was diagnosed with lung cancer a few years ago and went through a new protocal at Stanford with Dr Wakely. Since the Chemo and RadiationCystitis - noninfectious Radiation therapy was not enough to reduce the tumor, she could not go through the surgery phase to remove the tumor. About a year after that, mom had a Brain Turmor which made her a stage 4 cancer person. Now, a couple of years after that, mom has another tumor in her lungs which has grown enough in the past three months that the doctors not only did another CAT scan but also a PetScan. They are now saying, what I was told by my mother, that they would aspirate the fluid in her lungs to see if there were live cells. I though the petscan was TO find live cells. Pleae advise and thanks (My brother-in-law, not an oncologist, thought that the news probably was not good).
