Bladder issues...

I was just curious if anyone else has bladder/urination problems.  Occassionally I feel like I have to urinate often, but when I go I barely go... Almost like a UTI, but I've been checked for a UTI and was negative.  I haven't been dx'd yet, but was curious.
Thanks!

Its funny the more i read about this disease, because it comes to a point where you start questioning yourself if you are just reading into things too much.I had one spurt about two months ago where for a week and a half straight i was getting up 2-4 time a night to urinate, but only a urine sample would come out. I thought is this related to my lyme??? I have never in my life ever experienced waking up in the middle of the night for almost 2 weeks straight and having to go pee. Maybe only a handful of times in my entire life.

Glad i read this!

I was looking at a book about lymes disease and I found it interesting to find Igenex is looking into a urine test that is more accuate for women.  The author said especially women have a harder time due to our monthly menstural cycle.  Our progestern rates drop and help the bugs survive.  In the bladder there is irritation from these bugs, thus causing irritable bladder.  One of the symptoms in the lyme check list. Just another symptom for us to seek medical attention for a UTI and find it's all in our head.

Yah it is driving me crazy.  It comes and goes.  It just feels like I have to go a lot.  But when I do hardly anything comes out and it burns.   I have been tested for UTI but came back neg.  I was worried cause when I was pregnant and was having an vaginal ultrasound they by accident saw some strange abnomalties in my bladder.  It looked like floating particles, and those particles were also forming a layer on the bladder floor.  I was supposed to get it check out after I had my baby, but kinda forgot about it.  They called it bladder debris, but didn't know what it was or what was causing it.  My OB/GYN said that it may be from inadequate fluid intake.  I don't know .... maybe I should get it checked out.

Bladder issues are common with Lyme.  Yes, it could be ovarian cancer, but as the drs say, 'when you hear hoofbeats, think horses, not zebras.'  There are lots more horses out there, and when you're riding one named Lyme, think of that first.

I read that Lyme bugs like the bladder because it is tissue they can hide in.

If I were you, I would pay close attention to these symptoms, as they could be other issues.  I am going to paste an insert from an email I got just today and read.  Not to alarm you, but I literally read this minutes before reading your post. Below is part of a chain email:

"Ovarian Cancer Whispers - so listen... Watch for Pelvic or abdominal pain or discomfort; vague but persistent gastrointestinal upsets such as gas, nausea, and indigestion; frequency and/or urgency of urination in the absence of an infection; unexplained weight gain or weight loss; pelvic and/or abdominal swelling, bloating and/or feeling of fullness; ongoing unusual fatigue; or unexplained changes in bowel habits.
If symptoms persist for more than 2 weeks, ask your doctor for a combination pelvic/rectal exam, CA-125 blood test, and transvaginal ultrasound. A Pap Test WILL NOT detect ovarian cancer. "

to be honesr I feel bloated most of the time but its like a tightness in my diaphragm area as well.  I get the 'frequent' urination a lot as you said it's a little dribble!!

Can't say that I do. I get a bloated feeling once in awhile but I don't think it corresponds to the urination pattern.

Yes. It comes and goes (no pun intended). If I have a "flare", then I will sometimes be subjected to frequent urination and nighttime urination. I'm sure the "bugs" in the system affect my bladder and prostate at times.

I had a case last week for about a day urinating a lot while I was feeling crummy, but it seems to have cleared back up.
