I have been taking an antibiotic for the past week - for an abcess/boil in embarassing place!!!
- since my symptoms began  {lyme] I haven't had any real knee problems but for the last day or so both my knees have become painful, could this be anything at all to do with a 'herx' reaction?

Also here's another wierd thing - this has been going on since start of symptoms - I can be feeling o.k.'ish but as soon as I sit in the car [passenger or driving] I start feeling worsening of symptoms  -  pain/nausea/depression/light headed !!  I am not and never have been nervous/anxious about driving [I used to be a courier driver]  - any thoughts?

Have you been tested by Igenex labs yet for lymes disease?  Fibro is such a large diagnosis that dr's can't deffinetly say yes by this test you have fibro. I think just like CFS it is an excuse for them.  I could never get my three md's to say Yes, you have fibro or CFS because I would ask are you sure it's not lymes or some other disease, they would then start new tests.  Why can't this be easier for all of us who suffer and the test and clinical results scream lymes.  Do our Dr.'s need to be more educated on this disease? It took an infectous disease dr to go through my 2 years of dr. visits to say, I am sure you have lymes and were never treated for it.

I am glad to hear I am not alone with motion sickness thing  [ obviously not glad you experience it]. I do wonder if I imagine things sometimes.  - it is a horrible feeling though isn't it - I've been looking foward to a trip somewhere then once the motion sickness starts it kinda spoils things, it can be very intense , I have felt like I might actually faint or be sick.

I also notice motion sickness in the car.  Used to love the rollar coaster with the teenagers and husband.  I couldn't bear it now since this illness.

It could be the sensory overload issue that people with these kind of issues get.  At my worst there was something about the fluorescent lights in the grocery store that would affect me.  As soon as I walked in my legs would feel weak.

The car issue could be motion sickness.  People with lyme are more prone to it.  It's on the symptom list.
