Is it possibly a 'Herx' reaction -- short for Herxheimer reaction, in which the bits of dying bacteria irritate your body? It passes when the bacteria are dead and your body has cleaned up the trash the bugz left behind.
Herxes are different in each person -- it depends on body chemistry, which infections and co-infections you have, and how effective the antibiotics (and perhaps herbs too?) are at killing the bacteria.
If it's just annoying, then think of it as a sign that the antibiotics are working. When the bacteria are dead and the body takes out the leftover trash, Herxing will stop.
From what I read, if the Herxing is more than a little annoying, then call your doc's office and leave a message that you need to talk about the situation. The doc might want to adjust or change your meds, but don't do that yourself -- you could accidentally cause the bacteria to become antibiotic-resistant and create a bigger problem for yourself and everyone else.
If it's Herxing, and if it's more than you can tolerate, then the doc should be in the loop to adjust or change meds. I just searched online for
-- herxing treatment --
and found some commentary. But do call your doc before making any changes, okay? Take care --
Yes, these symptoms gradually got worse over 25 years, but the ABX amplifies it.
Its hard to loosen the upper back muscles between the shoulder blades, but when I am succesfull doing this by laying on a 5in ball for 5 minutes, the weak sensations improve in my arms / hands. It comes back in a few hours though.
Maybee nerve related in the neck/upper spine from lyme I suppose- and from tensing during anziety.
I think it did get worse in my ABX 2 month break (for liver). I just started ABX again.
I found they as the years passed, I got like that from the Lyme itself and not from the abx. I have been treating for 3 years and the symptoms have improved but aren't gone.
