6.5 weeks there is sack but no fetus

I just had a second u/t and now there are two sacks clear as day in uterus but no findings at all or any sign of a fetus...i am 6.5weeks in and in the past I've always seen a heartbeat and fetus.. I am having lots of pain and im down right exhausted.. I feel something is not right. What do I do?

Hi!
What you have been diagnosed as is probably blighted ovum. An anembryonic gestation is characterized by a normal-appearing gestational sac, but the absence of an embryo. Normally a gestational sac with a yolk sac appears at about 5 weeks (calculated from your last missed period date) of pregnancy and can be well visualized by 6 weeks on a transvaginal (through a vagina) ultrasound. A pregnancy is anembryonic or blighted ovum, if a transvaginal ultrasound reveals a sac with gestational sac diameter greater than 13 mm and no yolk sac, or diameter more than 18 mm with no embryo. Follow-up ultrasound is done after 10 days to verify diagnosis. Normally it is wise to wait until 10-11 weeks of pregnancy for a confirmed diagnosis of blighted ovum or fetal death. Meanwhile monitor the HCG levels. I suggest you wait and if you do not have bleeding consult another gynecologist before going for dilatation and curettage which you will probably need if it is indeed fetal demise. Take care!
