6Wks Pregnant with Brown Spotting

6Wks Pregnant with Brown Spotting

I am about 6wks pregnant, and I am having some brown spotting. Nothing heavy, just little droplets every now and then. I am experiencing no pain, just normal syptoms (symptoms). I am light headed and having trouble focusing, So what is wrong, should I be concerned.

could be implantation bleeding.  This can happen up to 8 weeks.  Spotting early in pregnancy is very common.  As long as you dont have cramps you should be fine.  But I would say if it continues then call your doctor.

I am 6 weeks and 5 days and about 1 1/2 weeks ago I had some brown spotting when i wiped. I went for an us tuesday and saw the hb and the little baby, I had some brown spotting when I wiped today but dr says that could be implantation or from the vaginal us. sometimes spotting is normal. if you feel any cramping call your dr though.

I have always heard that brown spotting is not a problem in early pregnancy. Good luck!

did you have intercourse or to your ob for your prenatal visit in the last 24-48hrs.  Your cervix is fragile and has increased blood flow while preg.  So sometimes it will bleed easily if manipulated.  If the bleeding cont or becomes bright red you should call your ob.  I am an ob rn and these are the ?'s we ask.  Hope it helps.  Congrats!!

I had very light brown/sometimes pink spotting when I was pregnant.  I thought it was odd because I'd never had it before when I was pregnant with my son.  I called the doctors office and they kept reassuring me that if it was just a small amount and not red, that it was probably nothing to worry about.  This continued for a while, not every day, but often enough for me to worry.  I eventually found out I had a missed miscarriage at 14 weeks - I would recommend that if you have a gut feeling that its not right - go see the doctor - don't let them put you off.  If anything, you find out nothings wrong and ease your mind, I wish I would have pushed to be seen earlier, because in my heart I felt something was wrong even though I wasn't having any other symptoms - and never did.  Don't want to bring you down, I've heard it is very commom in pregnancy to spot with no problems, but follow your instincts.  Best of luck.

My doc always always always stesses  to call if I have any questions. With something such as bleeding you can never be 100% possitive. I would call your doc to see if she/he wants you to come in.

I really dont want to scare you but when I had my mc, the blood was brown, not bright.

I had spotting with this pg just last week and called my doc just to make sure.

No cramping is a very good sign though. Spotting is very very common in early pg...there are a multitude of reasons why it could be happening. For my own piece of mind I would call the doc just to verify all is well. Good luck :o)

I had a similar thing happen earlier in my pregnancy. At 8 weeks I had a little drop of brown (when I was wiping). I was so scared, but that was all it was, it didn't get worse, it really was just a drop or too and then it stopped and no cramps or anythng else. I called my doc too and I would suggest calling them no matter what just to let the doc know about it but if you don't have any cramps & it isn't getting worse, they will most likely tell you not to worry. We had had sex the day before and I think that's what heppend for us, sometimes dh can "bump" the cervix or who knows, its just a lot more sensative during pregnancy too. I'm sure there are other reasons too. It sounds like your ok, keep us posted and try not to worry too much.

They always say that brown is good because it means old blood as opposed to the new and fresh bright red blood. When i was pregnant with my daughter i had bleeding but they said it was darker brown. Turns out I had some bacteria that was irritating my uterus and was put on antibiotics and everything was smooth sailing after that!!

Hi Angel,
My case was a lil similar to yr when I miscarried...that does not mean that u will necassarily miscarry...in other countries when u have spotting the Gyn tells u to stop all activity & lie down..u shd only get up in to use the toilet...this apparantely helps stop the bleeding...So try it out...maybe it will help.
Mine didnt work out...guess one rather havea healthy, normal child than some abnormalities....so cheer up!!
