Allergies in Pregnancy

by DollChina, Apr 17, 2006 12:00AM
Hi ladies, just have a question, what kind of OTC allergy medication is safe to take while you are pregnant?  Also, can I use my inhaler for allergy induced asthma?  I took a Benedryl last night for allergy and it knocked me down!

THANKS!  Dolly!

Yup, Oak pollen every where.  I hope I can take Zyrtec because that's what helps.  Can't do the Benedryl because I just pass out :-)

I take Flonase and Claritan.  Also Sudafed when necessary.  All were approved by my doctor.

i take zyrtec and have since the beginning of my pregnancy.  I also have asthma and use an inhaler.  after 3mths into my pregnancy my asthma got worse and now i also use pulmicort a corticosteroid inhaler.  but you have to breathe so the baby can so it essential to make sure you can breathe at 100%...good luck
