Amniotic fluid, scared.

There has been posts about this before, but I seriously need some advice. I am 21wks pregnant. I am high risk, but have really had no problems this pregnancy. I was just sitting at the computer and had some fluid come out. Almost thought I peed on myself or something. So I went and wiped and it has no color, no scent. I really don't want to have her early or anything. I went to the doctor yesterday and shes fine. Her hb was fine and I even checked it about a hr ago and its still fine. Only issue I've been having is her in my ribs which hurts, but that seems irrelevant to me. Now I'm having pain on my lower right side. Just started. Should I wait and see if anymore fluid comes out and watch it or what?

They would have tested the fluid to see if its amniotic, if it was they would have admitted you.

ok well the fluid thing just started. Doctor doesn't know about it. So no one has had a chance to test it. I dunno if I should call him or wait and see what happens.

I would call your doctor just to be on the safe side.  They may want to see you.

call and have them test the fluid.  I had my DD 2 weeks ago and I thought I might be leaking a little fluid the week before I had her but I did not have it checked because it was just a little and when I was induced they went to break my water and I didn't have any, it was already all gone.  Have it checked to make sure.

Sorry misread it, thought you went to the doctor afterwards. I would definately call the doctor. I had a similar experience years ago around 29 weeks, and the hosp stated the fluid was pooling and they thought for sure my water had broken but they tested it, it was, god, I dont even know, not urine but some sort of clear liquid secretion. Anyway I would call your doctor.

If I call my doctor he's just going to send me to the hospital for a evaluation which is fine i guess. Better safe then sorry. How can they test fluid thats already leaked out? If it's stopped leaking that is.

I would call the dr and if I can't get a hold of him I would go the hospital asap

I agree, call your Dr.  They place the paper up inside to test, once you start to leak it will continue and they can tell.
