Ashtyn Update..... :-(

Saturday I had to take Ashtyn to Urgent Care because his ear was tender and he was screaming a lot. Well, they told me he had ear infection in both ears and put him on amoxicilin. Well, he was not getting any better and he was throwing up everything he was eating so I took him to the ped. She told me that his ear drum has ruptured and put him on a liquid version of the Z-pack that adults take. Basically a strong antibiotic!

So, besides that, he is 6 months old today! We go to the neurpologist on Monday (Christmas Eve) so I will keep you all posted!!!!

awwww!  Poor little guy! It is so heartbreaking when babies are sick because they can't tell you what's wrong.  You did all you could, ear infections are very common in babies (unfortunately).  He'll be ok.  Good luck on his check up on Monday!

Cheyenne, I'm so sorry for you.  Poor little ashtyn just seems to have one thing after another! I'll keep you in my thoughts girl!

Awww the poor thing.
How horrible. Ear infections are the worst even when they're not severe like that!
My first daughter had one when she was 8 months old (She's 12 years old now but I still remember it) and her temp was sky high, such a worry.

Hopefully his new meds will do the trick really soon and I look forward to reading your update on Monday.

Well, we fought an upper respitory infection for around a month and he was at the doctor once a week to make sure it was not turning into an ear infection, and in less than a week his ears went from clear to infected! He seems to be feeling good today! We are going to dinner with Ruby and Max :)

Ear infections always strike on weekends, and at night.  

I'm glad he's better today.  Good luck at the neurologist!
