Baby Station question

I'm 35wk3d pg.  I had a dr appt yesterday and the dr said I'm 90% effaced (which I have been for about a month), dilated a finger tip and the baby is engaged at +1 station.  

Any guess as to when I will go into labor?  
Does your water usually brake once the baby is at a certain station?  If so, when is that?

every one is diff. When i was preg with my daughter my water broke at 3:40 am. but i was dilated 80% and 2 fingers for a lil over a months and i did not go into labor. I had no signs my water was gonna break. My water broke at 3:40am i was sleeping and i woke up to pee.They say if you walk alot sometimes it will bring it on but not allways. good luck

I was 75% effaced and dilated to a 4 baby at 0 for a really long time.

yea everyone is different, my water broke and i was only 3 cm when i got to the hospital and not effaced at all! sry hun theres no way to tell.  but don't wait for your water alot of women's don't break before labor.  Wait until you can't talk through your contractions.  since the baby is already in station one my guess if your going to go early

I was at 3cm, 20% effaced, and -2 for a month.  I went to the hospital with contractions, was sent home because I was still at the above numbers and 3 hours later the baby was born.  It is so different for everyone.

wow i cant believe you are this far along already!  you have made it further in your pg than i did by 4 days, so there is no telling when!! you better tell us before you leave for the hospitol lol

Thanks everyone for you input.  Looks like the answers is I'll just have to wait and see but it is really interesting to see how other people's situations unfolded.  I asked a friend of mine who is a nurse.. she said there is no telling when I will go into labor but since he is so low already, it will probably go fast and he will probably have a pretty pointed head.  Thank goodness for those cute little caps. :)  

PK - I promise to let you all know.. I'm sure there will be lots of time before I go to the hosptial, where I'll be trying to figure out what the heck is going on.

90% is very thin!  At 36 weeks I was 90% effaced 2.5 cm and +1...she came 4 days later!  It sounds like you are almost there and I bet that you will NOT make it to 40 weeks...

I was 3 cm and 100% effaced and my water didn't break on its own. I do not know what station she was at, but I'm pretty sure she was low!

Ask your doc to strip your membranes if you don't end up having her on your own by 38 weeks. That always caused me to have contractions and go into labor. I had my girls (two diff. pregnancies) the day after the doc did this. They basically separate the bag of waters from the cervix.
