No daycare..school they have a potty in her class room and its a good ratio and there's two students...with the yeast infection..im assuming it would be the same symptoms as a yeast infection for an adult...there's no white discharge or anything like that...the cottage cheese looking gross stuff..lol sorry..anyway im going to call monday morning..they wont do anything over the phone..i gave her tylenol cause she keeps crying that she hurts and had her drink cranberry juice..she's finally asleep
sounds like what the little girl i babysit had- yeast infection. it's different from the ones you think of because it is external. hers was actually recurrant. i think once it was cleared up her mom had her sleep without panties (just light cotton pants), and that seemed to help. i think they also washed gently with cetaphil every night.
You might try Vagisil. Since diaper rash is yeast-based, I use it on my son when he gets a doozie of a case (it has happened once), and it cleared it up really well. In an emergency, it's also safe to use Cortaid, though on a child I would only use it once or twice. It will help ease the pain and also seems to have a good impact on the yeastie beasties.
I would think either a yeast infection or possibly even a bladder infection. Does she take many bubble baths - that can irritate little girl's hooha area? If you can get her to take a shower, I'd do that tomorrow instead of a bath - the cranberry juice probably isn't a bad idea - it definitely won't hurt her anymore and Tylenol for discomfort - hope the dr can check her out on Monday
I used to get terrible rashes as a child just as you described, mostly due to allergies; bubble bath, soap, washing detergent and so on. Sometimes even stuff that hadn't caused problems before would suddenly cause a flare up. I didn't wear pants at night, just a nightdress or loose cotton PJ's, that helped too.
old wives tale if u want it to go away if its just a rash rash...tenderflake lard i swearon it...my friends ex bf was threatning her to call childrens aid on her if thir son ever go t a bad rash again...she needed sumin quick he was goin wit daddy in less than 24 hours and this had just appeared..it was so raw that it was bleedin she tried it n the next morning it went from raw red to a tanned colour n healing...my mom used it on me...it works miracle but it ha tobe the tendrflake..no sal or whatever...good luck
