Bald Spot

by mami1323, Mar 10, 2008 03:25PM
Ok, my son has that annoying bald spot on the back of his head.  Can anyone tell me if their baby had it and how long it took for the hair to grow in that spot?  I'm obsessive about it.

It'll fill with hair eventually.  How old is your DS?

He is 3 months.  I'm always staring at hoping that hair will grow in.

dd is 7 1/2 months, and it started filling in just a couple weeks ago. all of a sudden her hair has started to grow quickly and it's barely noticable.

oh yea- i also think a lot of it has to do with the fact that she is sitting and active most of the day now instead of laying and sitting in bouncy seats that would rub it.

I had a feeling it may grow back in once he started sitting up on his own.  It's just so funny looking.

DD was bold for a very long time.  She started growing hair closer to 12 months.  Pretty soon you'll be looking at the pix and not believe that he used to be that bold.  :)

I know, his cousin, who was born 3 weeks ahead of him was born with a full head of hair.  She has so much hair we call her Elvis.  She never got that bald spot.  I think it's because she has too much hair that no matter what she will never get it.

I answered your question below regarding your cold.

You know what I like, the babies that get the "old man look" by balding all on the top and keep the hair around the sides and back stay.  LOL!!  My Fiancee's youngest daughters has some really cute pics like that.  I'm wondering if mine will have hair?  I have a head FULL of naturally curly brown hair, but my Fiancee has straight naturally blonde hair.  All of his girls have blonde hair... only the youngest was born with dark hair, she lost it and it turned blonde... she is adorable.  =)  Her mom is Italian, so she has the long straight beautiful black hair and really dark brown eyes... Isabell has blonde hair and blue eyes like her Dad!!  It's funny how all that plays out.. I thought dark hair and brown eyes were more dominant (sp? I can't spell for C R A P today!!!)

My 5 month old is just now getting fuzz in his bald spot.  He's sitting up much more now and his bald spot isn't rubbing on things as much as it used to.  Don't worry over it...it is normal and will fix itself eventually.
