Best Pregnancy Test

Hello I was wondering Which brand is the best Early Result Pregnancy Test for me to get?  And I hear you should wait a week, I think--(if that's right) before re-testing. When you re-test the second time do you use the same brand pregnancy test or a different brand? Anyone that knows about this-please Help!!

I found the Accuclear (I think it is called) brand to the best for me.  I was able to get a positive 4 days before my AF was due.  I found that brand at Target and I think Walmart.  It was the least expensive brand and I liked it.  I hope that is the right name.  For some reason Accuclear sounds like a contact lens product LOL!!!!!!!

I've never used it personally, but I've heard that First Response is supposed to be able to detect HCG levels even 4 days before your period is due.  When I bought tests, I found they were all pretty much the same, so I usually bought the cheaper store-brand versions.  The principle behind the tests is simple, so I don't see how one can really be better than another.  If you are pregnant, your HCG levels are high enough (usually) that a test can detect it on the first day of your missed period.  So you can test the first day of your missed period, but waiting a week is probably best to make sure those levels are definitely high enough (but also IMPOSSIBLE if you want to know!!).  I think some of us (i.e. ME) have spent a good deal of $$ on sticks to pee on....  Funny, as a side note, the day I did pee on the stick, I had no reason to and wasn't expecting anything (instinct must have just made me do it, b/c I kind of gave up on conceiving naturally), and there it was, a big fat positive.

I used kmart brand and it worked before period was due.  (12 days post IVF)

Hi, I am new.....5 weeks today! I found a digital version of First Response (I think) at Walmart and it had two for the price of one.  I used it the first day (in the morning) that I would have missed my period and it came up positive really quickly.  I used the second one that afternoon just to make sure I wasn't dreaming and I had another positive.  If you are really early they say to do the test in the morning when the HCG is more concentrated. These things are a lot more sensitive then they were just 3 years ago!  I had gotten a false negative with my first son 5 days after my period was due!

i also just found out i am prgnant. i used the First Response, i used it in the morning as soon as i got up and i got a positive result 4 days before my period was scheduled to start.
