Bleeding after IVF transfer

My spouse had embryo transfer (our first ivf treatment) last week. She started spotting last monday and resulted in full bleeding from yesterday and our pt is due on 16-03-09. It looks she has given up the hope started to feel low. Despite the bleeding (may be due to some other reasons) will it be confirmed pregnency. What is possible reason for this. Anybody with some previous experience please give us suggestions..

Is she taking progesterone and estrogen at this point?  It would be a good thing to call the IVF clinic and ask for advice.  In the meantime, she should stay in bed and drink a lot of fluids.  Doing so can calm the uterus.  There can be bleeding at the beginning of a pregnancy and it does not necessarily mean that the embryo is dislodged,  I hope that everything turns out all right.
