Bleeding during pregnancy

Hello.  I found out 1 week ago that I was pregnant.  My HCG came back Monday at 10 and progesterone 9.7.  My Dr. put me on progesterone support.  Thursday my HCG was 130 and progesterone 30.  My Dr's said everything looks great, and they guess I'm roughly 4 weeks.  Saturday I woke up with blood running down my legs, and blood in the bed.  We went to the ER.  My HCG went from 130 on Thursday to 160 on Saturday.  So it did not double, but still went up.  They did and ultrasound and did not see a sac.  They did see a tiny mass on my left tube.  The Dr. said pregnancy cysts are common in a lot of pregnancys, but he can not rule out ectopic.  I have no pain, no cramps, my stomach or sides are not tender.  The bleeding was just that once, and I did not notice any "material".   Believe me, I was and have been watching.  That was yesterday morning.  I have gone through 3 pads in almost 36 hours.  Mostly because you have to change them once in a while.  The blood I have now is either dark red, or has a brown tinge to it.  I go back tomorrow for repeat labs.  Any thoughts on what this could be?  Am I miscarrying early?

Well, sweetheart, at 4 weeks, that is about the best they can see on an ultrasound.  With that hCG rate of rise, you are not entirely out of the woods, but the reduced bleeding might mean it was just some kind of blood vessel that broke rather than anything about the embryo.  I assume you'll be monitored by ultrasound as well as by labs?  The next couple of weeks will tell everything.  Good luck!

Thanks for your imput!  As of now, its been 6 hours since I have had any bleeding.  I still dont' have ANY pain.  Tiny bit of cramping, but its the same as my first pregnancy.  I'm just really scared cause any time during pregnancy if you have blood running down your legs you of course are scared.  My levels are very low, so that combo too the Dr. said its likely I'll miscarry.  Yes, labs and ultrasound.  Lab tomorrow, and ultrasound later in the week.  sigh.

Make sure you as kyour doctors about progesterone as well. Make sure he checks your levels! This is very important. Blessings!

Well now thet bleeding started back up again.  Didn't fill a pad or anything, I still have the same one on that I put on last night.  sigh.
