Braxton Hicks

Hi everyone - I have been having tons of braxton hicks contractions - many during each day.  My doctor checked my cervix and they are not affecting my cervix, but is this normal at 30 weeks and can I expect them to get worse?  I feel so limited in what I can do, because the only thing that gets rid of them is lying down.  (Pretty hard at work!)  Any experience you guys have would be helpful.  I know Blondie has had lots too.  Thanks, Karen

I have been having them since 20 weeks and have been to the hospital twice with them. I am now 27 weeks and they still haven't let up, but thank goodness they aren't doing anything to change my cervix. I even feel like she has dropped, which in my opinion is not good at this time, so I'm hoping she decides to stay in a while longer.

I wish I could tell you that they would let up, but mine are going on 2 months now, so I don't know what's going to happen. Good luck and I hope you get to feeling better soon!

When I was preg with dd I had them beginning at about 20 weeks.  It actually took me a month to figure out what they were!!  They did get very painful and came much more often, but my doctor assured me that it was normal.(No change in my cervix)  I carried to 37 weeks and had them up until the night before I had her.(I was induced)  Anyway, I'm sure everything will work out for the best...Good luck to you!
You guys remember take it easy once and awhile, I know it is easier said than done!

well im 22 weeks along with twins, and ive allready had one episode, the doctor told me it was becasue of a severe UTI that ive had the whole pregnancy, he put me on some antibiotice that i will have to take the whole pregnancy, but hey as long as brennan and morgan are ok then im ok, but i do have to say those braxton and hicks hurt more than i thought they would,
