Yes, sometimes, I have to wake him up to feed so I just want to makre sure. I am trying to wean him from the middle of the night feeding but what do you do with your engouraged breasts?
Hi dolly, I hope you and gavin are doing well. 7 times a day is perfectly fine. My dd is 3 months and sleeping through the night now and I bf her 6 times and she also has 3 bottles a day. As for the engorgement, once you have a few nights of not feeding, your body will get used to it and you shouldn't be engorged for too long. If u need to manually express a bit, that would be fine.
Baby's are good self regulators and thrive best when fed on-demand (assuming you are only feeding them formula or breastmilk). In fact, IMO, the only way to successfully exclusively breastfeed a baby is on demand. CJ was born Oct 28th, I nurse exclusively and he eats throughout the night. He will go for hours at a time netween feedings, but he does still eat at night. I think to expect a 9 week old to sleep throughout the entire night w/o eating is a bit prematurePremature ejaculation Premature infant. My fella eats way more than 6 or 7 times a day, but again, I feed mine on his schedule, not mine. Not an easy thing considering I have 2 other boys : ) Now if you are supplementing with formula, things may be different as it is not as easily digested and therefor takes longer to process.
I think he is drinking about 4 ozs at a time, it's so hard to tell!
