When you ovulate, it is guaranteed that you will either get your period in14-16 days or be pregnant. If you haven't gotten your period yet, you could just be ovulating late this month. Ever since I gave birth, my cycle has been completely off. I had a 40 day cycle last month, which is very uncommon for me. I am usually like clock work...every 28 days! I just ovulated really late that month. I would give it another week or so and then check in with the doc to see what's going on.

I'm not a doctor or anything, but I do have a story! I was on birth control forever (the patch) and in October 2007 I started having a period on the 2nd but for about 2-3 days and then on the 12th, I had another period that lasted about 4-5 days. I didn't have a period in November and freaked out and called my doctor and had a blood test done on December 3rd. The results were negative and my doctor said to go ahead and stay off birth control for a month and if my periods didn't start back up then she'd give me a pill to start them. When January 4th came along and my period didn't, I took a pregnancy test just incase and it said I was pregnant. How could I be pregnant without a period? I just gave birth to my son on Sept 5th and was told I conceived my son on December 12th 2007. Sounds odd to me, but somehow I ovulated without a period and still got pregnant. Perhaps it had something to do with the birth control, but I can't explain it. So there's my story I hope it inspires you to keep trying even if you're not having a period. And just incase you need more information, just ask your doctor, that's what they're there for! Good luck!
