Consitpation and CM

Consitpation and CM

This might be one of those questions that is TMI but...

I am 5 week 3days preg and i am constipated.  My dr said I can take Colaice which I am and it is not really working...anyone have any suggestions?

Is CM (a light yellow color) no odor okay?

I still sometimes feel as though I am going to start AF at anytime.  Not all day but sometimes thoughout the day!

Thank you all for letting me vent and get my paranoia out...!:-)

I have been having a problem with constipation off and on since I got pregnant (now at 22w6days). My doctor also recommended that I take Colaice because I was eating prunes and/or drinking prune juice to keep regular & that was too much sugar, supposedly. But, I do not like taking pills unless they are totally necessary so I started eating at least 1 apple per day, drinking lots of water, eating oatmeal or bran cereal for breakfast, snacking on walnuts, eating more salads and I try to walk 1/2 - 1 mile per day. These things have really helped and I almost feel normal again, however, I will most likely still use the natural stuff(prunes & juice) if I have problems with constipation again UNLESS the glucose screening test that I have to take in a few weeks shows that I have GD or borderline. Oh, and I was told that you can take two or three of the Colaice per day if needed. Also, I have light yellow CM sometimes too. Hope this helps. Take care!

i'm 34.5 weeks and have been constipated for about the last 2 months. prune juice helps tho i think it can be somewhat addictive since it acts on the nerve endings... laxatives of course are much more addictive. stool softeners might help but i think they're also addictive. if eating fiber-y foods isnt working (doesnt help me AT ALL), try metamucil or benefiber...
