Contractions at night?

Contractions at night?

Are contractions more common at night? I had contractions last night from about 11pm-3am every 10-15 minutes and then nothing this morning. I had small contractions today but nothing major. Now, its night time again and I feel miserable and am having contractions again. Is this normal? Is this actual contractions or braxton hicks? I don't know what is going on.

I would say they are probably braxton hicks contractions.

Yep, totally common.  Drink some water and relax when they come on.  I did this many nights the last month too.  When they are real, you will feel pretty intense ones, unless you are one of the lucky ones!

yup
I even called the doc last time
cause at night they were REALLY painful and they were progressively closer together - BUT they were false - they did get me dilated though

I went into pre-term labor twice and had a c-section at 31 weeks. During the three weeks I was on bed rest in the hospital I dialted to 5 and had not felt a thing....they had to tell me when I was having contractions!!!!

Wow, I felt them every bit, and when I went into full blown labor, not much worse at first than what I had been going through...then they turned up the pitocin even more.  Some gals never feel them.  My sil was the same way, was induced the second time and felt nothing.  Her DH would tell her when she was having them, didn't notice any cramping at all either.  She was just bored hanging out waiting and never took an epidural as she never felt pain.  She had one big contraction that took her to complete and that was when she flet it.  Too bad you had preterm labor though, that's scary.  Each person is so different, I would be worried with any contractions that early on too.

if they r not real labor contractions u can just change ur position or walk around a bit...braxton hicks goes away by doing that...it worked for me!
