Cystic Hygroma

by beesonman05, Oct 19, 2003 12:00AM
My son has cystic hygroma for 1 1/2 years.  And recently had an infection in which the size of it tripled.  He was in hospital  for 5 days with IV antibotic (antibiotic).  This is day 8 and size has not decreased. Will it decrease with antibotic (antibiotic) by mouth?  Will surgery help?  Will giving shot in neck with medicine help, and how comon is this? The Doctor gave us 2 ways to fix this surgery or giving a shot in the neck with some kind of medicine.   What kind of medicine is this?  Will it work?  Will it hurt anything else in his neck? My son will be 3 in December 2003.
