Donor Eggs

Donor Eggs

I am 42 YOA and have recently gone through my 3rd failed IVF (have been trying for 4.5 years).  Seems as though my only issue is the age of my eggs as everything else is perfect.  We are considering using donor eggs. Has anyone else done this and been successful?  If so, how old were you and how did you feel about it?  How did your husband feel about it?  Thanks!

How do you know it's your eggs??? I am currently reading a book on your body's immune system and many people and Dr.'s think it is the egg quality but it is NOT!!!  I just started it and if you want to know the name I will give it too you...it is on IVF and why it fails.....  good luck to you.....
I have just had my first IVF failure... I am not sure it was really considered this (I had an eptopic pg.) so I guess I don't know what to call it???

In the past 3.5 years of intervention, and most especially since starting IVF, I have had so many tests looking at immune system, insulin resistance, folic acid breakdown, gene mutations, etc.  The only thing the MDs can see as an issue is the age of my eggs.  However, I love to read and would appreciate the name of the book you are reading.

I guess I should not assume that you haven't had all this testing... I wish my Dr. 's would look at this.... anyway the name of the book is "Is Your Body Baby-Friendly" by Alan E. Beer, MD
It just came out this year.... It has been great so far and it gives me hope.... although his centers are out in California and Chicago...  I live in NY....I think I am going to share this with my RE....he will probably be offended...Do you think I should show him this book????   I wish you luck and I have heard that people that use donor eggs are pretty successful...Wish I could help you out with the eggs ( but I am not sure what mine are like  :-)  )
Anyway keep in touch and I will look to see if I can find anything on donor eggs.....

I have been diagnosed with Advanced Ovarian Aging.  Im 32 yrs old and the RE did the clomid challange on me and discovered I had high FSH level on CD3 and 10.  Did they do that test on you?  I have been recommended to do donor eggs with IVF but not IVF with my own eggs.  RE says IVF with my own eggs gives me no better chance of having a succesful preg than trying naturally and I'd be spending alot of money.  When your eggs are of poor quality it doesn't matter how much drugs they pump into to you the results can turn out the same.

Regarding CCT - I have had three - each year of intervention and passed with flying colors (most recent in August)- ovarian reserve is great.  Just found out this week that I did become pregnant (embryo implanted) but at some point stopped growing.  This is what has happened at least twice - maybe more.
