Doppler rental!!!!!!!!!!!!!

by 3rd pregnancy, Dec 05, 2006 12:00AM
Hi I’m 16 weeks  now, and this is already my 3rd, my 1st one was a still birth so it really worries me if I don’t feel any fetal movement at all. I already felt it 2 weeks ago. But now I don’t feel anything or probably I ‘m just being paranoid…I’m thinking of renting a Doppler online. Does anybody try it? Does it work?

Im sorry to sound so dumb, but a doppler is where you can hear the heartbeat right? If so I can help you.

YES!! This is my first pregnancy and I just ordered my doppler yesterday.  I think my doctor appointments are too far apart so I got a doppler to reassure me.  Also my BF's cousin lost her baby at 32 weeks from an umbilical cord accident.  So Tyren is afraid of that also, even though they are not common.    But, Yes... I think a doppler can help the not needed stress ALOT!

so where is the best place to order a doppler from?  and are they real expensive?  Thanks for any info, I have been searching the web but no real luck.

You can rent them monthly, I got mine from storkradio.com and loved it!  I think I paid $80 for 3 months??

To 3rd pregnancy, I have a doppler that I will let you have. I never used it. It is brand new.

I think you should be at least 10 weeks.

How many weeks does the baby need to be in order to hear the heart beat over the doppler?

by Tasha456, Dec 05, 2006 12:00AM
I got mine from babybeats.com  although I am paying 43 dollars a month.  (its cheaper if you prepay)  Mine is a 3Mhz's one and they say the heartbeat can be detected as early as 8 weeks.

im 9w4d and today we heard the heartbeat with the doppler. My Dr. told me today that she didnt recommend me getting a doppler beucase the ones that are cheaper dont detect the heartbeat until later and that just freaks the u out if you cant hear it.

I bought my doppler for $115 and began listening to the baby as soon as I got it, which I think was at 18 weeks but it could have been sooner (there was no problem hearing the heartbeat).  It was from Health Check Systems.  They also send one tube of ultrasound gel.  The link:
