Feeling like a teenager

Feeling like a teenager

Hello and Happy Monday to all...
I have a quick question....I know that when you're pregnant you're supposed to get this "glow", however, I on the other hand have actually been breaking out in pimples. I don't usually get pimples, just the occasional one when I'm under alot of stress but lately I've been getting a few here and there.
Is this normal? Is anyone else experiencing this?

Totally normal, and totally awful. I had nasty skin for the first 2 mos. or more, and now that I am 16 weeks, it is clearing up pretty well. Your hormones are just changing right now, and hopefully once your body gets used to it, your skin will improve.

My older sister broke out very bad in pimples. She still gets them every now and then and her daughter is almost 3!!! She never had any acne before. I myself have had a few breakouts in the past month;; but I don't know if I am pregnant yet.

Hi I am also spotty! Though my skin has improved, well I only have a couple of weeks to go now. I have loads of moles and thread veins appearing too, Well its all worth it in the end when you hold that little bundle!

Oh Goodness!!  With this pregnancy, my face just erupted!!! It's starting to calm down now, in my 18th week.  But there's definately still acne there.  I'm to understand that it's from the hormone changes in pregnancy.  I've just been using a gentle cleanser...i think it's neutrogena.  It's been slowly helping with the issue.

My first trimester I had horrible breakouts, the most painful pimples I've ever had in my life. But when I once I got into the 2nd trimester, my skin cleared up completely and looks better now than it has since I was 10 years old. Hope it gets better for you too.

My poor sister had acne before she got preggers...then after she got preggers, it was absoluelty HORRIBLE!!  But but half way through the 2nd trimester it cleared up beautifully.....BUT  As soon as she delivered, it came back ten fold....I'm hoping that doesn't happen to me!  I guess everyone's different.

Did any of you use anything, like Proactiv acne kits during pregnancy? If so, did it help? I bought something from Wal-Mart similar to Proactiv (blanking on the name of it...Acne Free, Perhaps?) and it worked wonders when had any sort of breakout. I used it religiously before my wedding to ensure I wouldn't break out due to the wedding stress! LOL
Anyway, I'm wondering if perhaps it would help if I start using it immediately, so as to prevent the breakout from being too terrible when the hormones start kicking in like crazy.

I think that posting to you jinxed me. As of today, my whole lower halfof my face suddenly broke out. That's what I get for saying it was clearing up. Oh well.........
