LMP was 10/8 - this was a "normalNormal saline flush" period for me but started on day 31 when my cycles have been 24-26 days for the past several months (since 2nd m/c). I swore up and down I was pg last month, but blood hcg on cd 27 was neg and I stopped home tests after that and got AF so cycle was 30 days. Today, cd 20, I had some bleeding, freaked me out - too early for AF again and decided to take a HPT for some reason - well, because when I went for a pad I saw the test under the sink and thought what the heck, things have been so weird, why not?? It was BFP!!! I freaked b/c of the bleeding though and past 2 m/c. Had beta hcg done today and it came back at 500! According to my BBT I o'd on the 20th - that is only 7 days ago! HOw can my hcg be so high already at 3 weeks LMP?? I go back MOnday to retest and hope hope hope it goes up and that I'm not going down from something missed last month. Has anyone else had such high HCG so early? Could it be twins??? If it doublesDouble-tussin dm as it should by Monday I'll start on progesterone (think it seems likely the cause of the prior mc's) - any advice on that? thanks and sticky baby dust to all those ttc and pg!!
I actually just posted this on a previous post.
You could have o'd sooner than you think.
See it actually goes off your LMp, I will paste something to show you.
Here is something else that I found, I tend to use ask.com!!! That is where I get alot of my answers.
What can a high hCG level mean?
A high level of hCG can also mean a number of things and should be re-tested within 48-72 hours to evaluate changes in the level. A high hCG level can indicate:
Miscalculation of pregnancy dating
Molar pregnancy
Multiple pregnancy
Hi, i too am conerned with my high hcg level. I've lost 3 preg's this year and am panicking. I'm currently 5wk 3 days and at 5 wks, my hcg's were 5700. That is so high. I had an ultrasound done and so far, things look normal, 1 baby in the uterus. My doctor said, sometimes high hcg can be normal. I hope so, although i'm still concerned it is so high. For the levels being so high, i only have nasaue, no other symptoms. In all my other pregnancies, i've had extremely soar boobs right after conception, this time nothing. I just don't get it. Is your doctor saying high hcg is normal?
