Has anyone been sick with a cold/flu?

I have a bad cold right now and they told me that I can only take Sudafed for congestion. It surely has not worked yet. Has anyone had congestion and taken something safe that works?

I tried the Sudafed and it didnt help me either.  I had to get a prescription.  That took it away in a hurry!!

Any of the tylenol cold medicines were approved for me to take during pregnancy.  Hope you feel better soon!  :)

My doc said I could take Tylenol but not Tylenol Sinus, so do check with the doctor or the pharmacist even on those.

my doctor said robatussin(sp?) is ok to take that helped me before when I was sick...this time around I aam trying to just ride it out.  Hope you feel better soon!

Hi - yes, I've taken Sudafed with good results, but I've also taken Benadryl at night twice a week before bed to help sleep through it.  Further, my doctor (primary care and OB) said that plain Robitussen is fine, too.  Good luck and feel better!!!

Thanks! Yes, they also said I could take Tylenol products. I was thinking of trying the Tylenol Cold as well. I also have no appetite, except for crackers and bland foods like a baked potato!

we're having a pandemic here.. my oldest is 8 and in second grade, she brings home bugs that we all get. last week all 3 kids were barfing, now everyone in the house has a cough/cold/sore throat etc.
