Help with BBT

Pre-ovulation my temps were between 96.5-97.6. The day after O my temp was 97.2 and has risen up to 98.1 as of yesterday but today it went down to 97.7!! Does that mean the Nasty AF is coming to visit soon? This is my first month charting so I'm a little comfused. Also I have been on Clomid this cycle and just had a progesterone level checked yesterday, does anyone nkow what number I am shooting for??

I'm confused.  Did you say that your temp was 97.2 AFTER O?  That's lower than what you put for your pre-O temps.  Did you type the wrong number, maybe?  Your post-O temps should all be higher than your pre-O temps.  Also, how many DPO are you?  Usually your temps will peak midway through your LP and then level off a bit.  One decline does not mean much of anything.  I thought I was getting AF b/c I had a temp dip at 11 DPO, which ALWAYS happens for me, but at 12 DPO they shot way up and I got my BFP instead!!  Just keep watching those temps!

The day before O my temp was 96.5, the day after O by temp was 97.2 then 97.5,97.5,97.5,98.0,98.1,97.7.  But when I first starting charting my temp was as high as 97.6 a few days before O. I had a EWCM from the 15-17 and a +OPK and the 16th. So I am hoping a O'd this month. Also when will you temps decline when you are going see af?

OK, I'm confused b/c you said one of your temps pre-O was 97.6, which is higher than some of your post O temps.  That's unsual.  Typically, you count your last low temp as your O day so I would say that O wasn't confirmed for you until your temps were in the 98's.  Did you draw a coverline?  Your post-O temps should be above your coverline.  There can also be a variant of +/- 3 days, though.  I have heard of women who had wacky temps on clomid so maybe that's what's going on.  Every woman is different, so it's impossible to say when your temps would decline.  Mine would always start to decline around 10-11 DPO and then would drop completely at 14 DPO, which when AF would arrive.  Some women don't see them drop until they're already on CD 3 though.

97.6 was few days before O. Also the weel leading up to O I tested after differnt times. I'm a RN and we tend not to get much sleep the week we work. So maybe the time of the morning I tested affected it. I just thought you have a temp dip pre-O the it would begin to rise afterwards, and if it stayed up then you prob. O. Sorry I am very new to this!

Not all women get the temp dip before O.  The first month I charted I got the dip, but I've never gotten it again.  Don't worry about being confused.  BBT charting can be a little difficult to figure out in the beginning.  You'll get the hang of it though.  Hopefully, you won't have to chart for too long!! BTW, if you have 17 days of raised temps then you better POAS.  That's a good sign of pregnancy!
