I had two periods in 2 weeks after wearing the birth control patch for 5 hours.

Ok I just had a baby in January.  And I am concerned I may be pregnant again.  Can anyone help me?
I started my period on Friday 7/29 and applied the patch for the very first time ever that evening.  It started burning immediatly, so I took it off.  The next day, I applied a new one and it fell off in a matter of 5 hours.  I decided I was done with it.  My period ended on Monday 8/1.
My husband and I had unprotected sex on Thursday 8/4, but he pulled out in time.
Then on Sunday 8/7 I started having a pinkish discharge only when I wiped that turned into a brownish discharge onto a pad (but still pink when I wiped)  It is basicly gone now Thursday 8/11, still some brown when I wipe. I am having major pains and cramps, feel completly stupid (no seriously, I feel overwhelmed all the time and can't figure anything out) And my stomach feels "tight" like I'm about to throw up all the time.
Does anyone think I may be pregnant again, or did the patch screw me up?
Please Help!!!

It kind of sounds like the patch administered some hormones for the 5 hours that you wore it.  Then by not adding a new patch, it may have sent your body into having another period - but because it was so soon after you last period there wasn't much lining to shed.

I'm definitely not an expert on this...but I have an opinion.  Since typically ovulation occurs approximately two weeks after a period starts (it depends obviously on the woman), I believe it is highly unlikely you are pregnant.  I'll have to agree with "IWantToBeAMom"...your body got tricked into thinking it was time to have another period.

Here's a link backing up the dates on my "no ovulation" statement:
