I'm Scared

hello again ladies,

quick question, my blood type is A negative and i might (with GOD's willing) be pregnant. will anything happen to my baby? please some one talk to me, please. i'm really scared.

You should just make sure your Dr. knows you are Rh -, I can't remember completely, but I think if mom is - and dad is + then you need the rhogam shot, but your Dr. will take care of you and it's a simple fix.  You should be fine.

I am pregnant with my seventh child and I am also A-. The problem happens if the babies father is +. At 28 weeks pregnant, you will get a shot of a medication called Rhogam.
If the baby is born with your negative blood, nothing will need to be done. But if it is +, you will just get a shot of Rhogam again and all will be fine.

This used to be a problem decades ago, and women did lose babies. But with this Rhogam medicine, it almost never is a problem anymore. My mother had 9 babies, never had even one miscarriage---and she is A-.
