Is this common?

Back in August I had a missed miscarriage. My doctor found there was no heartbeat at my 9 week ultrasound. I had to have a D&C on August 28th. It took my until November 13 to get my next period and on December 11, I found out I was pregnant again. As you can assume, I am very nervous. I go for my first ultra sound on Tuesday, and am so fearful this will happen again. How common is it to have two missed miscarriages in a row? I have had some slight cramping feelings (which my doctor said can be normal) and slight pains in my lower abdominal area and lower back, but no bleeding or spotting. My breasts have been tender, but of an on throughout the day, and only occasionally do I feel any slight morning sickness. It is more that I feel like I might get sick if I eat certain foods. My fear is that I do not have many pregnancy symptoms and I have been having cramping. Like I said my doctor did say it was normal, but I was told it was normal last time and I had a missed miscarriage. Does anyone have any insight on having two missed miscarriages and symptoms surrounding miscarriages?

I am sorry for your loss. I had a miscarriage in February and I am 21 weeks along now. I was also nervous like you are about the first ultrasound but everything was fine. I also had minor cramping and I had some spotting but not while cramping. I didn't have morning sickness, just got sick when I ate certain foods. The most important thing is not to worry. If your doctor says it is normal, believe him. Even when I was spotting I told myself that my baby was fine. The very next day I had an ultrasound and they couldn't find where the blood had come from. I wish you lots of good news at your ultrasound and a happy, healthy and worry-free pregnancy.
