Maternity Clothes and Sleeping

When did everyone start wearing maternity clothes?

Also, is it OK to sleep on your stomach? I am 9 weeks pregnant and I am only comfortable at night when I am sleeping on my stomach. Is that a problem?

I started wearing stretchy clothes at about 16 weeks and by 20 weeks I was wearing maternity clothes.

You are very early and sleeping on your stomach should be okay.  Your baby is very tiny and very well-protected.  As your belly grows, you will probably naturally start trying to sleep on your side.  I have never slept on my side until I became pregnant and now it is very comfortable.

Good luck during your pregnancy!

My OB told me that however you are comfy early in pregnancy...sleep that way! Since the further you get, the worse it is to get comfortable! (Take it from me! lol)

Also, I'm 24 weeks and am still not wearing all maternity clothes. Just a few here and there!

Well I'm 19 wks now and not wearing maternity clothes, but popping out of my clothes.....I am surviving thus far on a few larger short sleeved shirts and xl skirts that have elastic waist.

I did buy a few maternity shirts and will probably need to break them out in the next month.  Although I don't think I will fill them out whatsoever, but need the comfort.  But they are not that "maternity" feeling......the are more fitted with just a bit larger in the tummy area....not the typical looking maternity...I don't think I'm psychologically ready for that!  I would feel funny unless my belly is waaaay out there.....but that time will come.

Sleeping-well I'm rolling from side to side constantly ALL night...and it's frustrating...my hipes are starting to ache...and if I lie on my back, it's only for a few minutes...it is starting to be uncomfortable...then I hear that you are not supposed to lay on your back or right side....so I don't know WHAT I'm supposed to be doing!!!
