Molar Pregnancy

I am 26 years old and pregnant with my first child.  I went in for my first ultrasound on April 21st.  The Doctors thought I was going to be about 6 and a half weeks based on my last period.  However I had just stopped being on the NuvaRing for 3 years so everything was kinda off.  I was only about 3 1/2 weeks.  The Doctor was not concerned just thought the dates were off.  We went in on Monday and saw the Heartbeat of 84 BPM.  The Ultrasound tech said we look about 5 and a half weeks.  So on track according to the last ultrasound.  But the doctor says it is most likly a Molar Pregnancy.  My HCG levels on April 23rd were 19,000.  Then on May 3rd they were 49,650.  The doctor seems to be stuck now on this Molar Pregnancy.  Told me I will miscarry in a week.  But all the research I have found doesnt show Molar.  Ultrasound looked normal, heart rate is about normal for 5 1/2 weeks as well as HCG.  Why is my Doctor thinking this?  PLEASE HELP!  My husband and I are very worried.

i had a molar pregnancy about a year ago, and i think you need to get a second opinion. I took a urine test at six weeks and it didnt show up, but then at eight weeks it showed up. My doctor said it was hard for a molar pregnancy to show up. Then, with my ultrasound at ten weeks, there was no fetal heartbeat, and there was a sac but no baby. Also, my hormone levels dropped, not doubled which is normal. I had a brown discharge, was sick all the time, had pains in my stomach, and got too hot everytime i took a shower causing me to almost faint. So, if you are not having these symptoms and there is a heartbeat, please get a second opinion because your doctor will probably suggest a d and c which cleans out your uterous and your pregnancy sounds normal so he would basically be doing an abortion.

You say "all the research I have found doesn't show Molar."  What does that mean?  The only clue you have right now that does indicate molar is the high hCG number.  Partial molar pregnancies can show a heartbeat, so that unfortunately does not rule out anything.  I guess all you can do is watch and wait, I would consider getting a second opinion also if you think your doctor is being odd about it.

Well the HCG level is normal for someone at 5 1/2 weeks.  The Doctor said as well as the research I have done that women who's HCG level is over 100,000 at this stage would show that.  That is why I am so confused. I go back to the Doctor again on Monday.  The doctor keeps telling me all this bad news but then throws is a "but I could just have the dates wrong."

Two weeks ago I went for my first doc apt. Assuming I was about 6-7 weeks pregnant. According to my last period. But he did a vaginal ultrasound to check for sure. We didn't see any baby only 2 sacs. No yolk sacs but the sacs were very different in shape and size. So at that point he thought maybe I miscalculated my last period. But send me to the lab to get my Hgc levels checked in case. I went twice in 48hrs and called him back a couple days later
He had said my levels were rising just as a normal pregnancy.   So told me to come back in 2 weeks to do another ultrasound. So I went back today. Now he sees 3 sacs but no fetus' and no yolk sacs. He is now telling me I have a molar pregnancy.  And. I should schedule a Dnc.......... I Google's molar pregnancy epicures and it looks like "grapes" like a huge cluster of little circles. But that's not What mine looks like. Mine looks just like 3 gestational sacs but no babies or yolk sacs. I'm so confused and upset..... anyone have any info or opinions???
