No heart beat found on my u/s scan

I am 6-7 weeks pregnant and i started to spot yesterday (only twice), i went to a&e and had all my bloods checked and they sent me for a scan today, all my bloods have come back ok, i haven't had anymore spotting and i am in no pain, but when i went for a scan they can't see a heart beat, when i went to the e p u straight after they said i am having a mis miscarriage and was willing to remove the baby asap, i have chosen to leave it for another week and have another scan and then make my mind up, it has been a lot to take in and i dont wish to think positive and build my hopes back up again. It's just different people say it could be too early to detect are they right, could there be a change?

It could def. be too early if you are 6 weeks...some people don't even see a heartbeat til 8 or 9 weeks! How sure are you of your dates.....are you def. 6-7 weeks or could you be less? Also, what are your HCG levels doing??

The spotting at 6-7 weeks, along w/ a scan showing no hb, are together not good signs.  It is very smart to wait a week.  That way, you will know for sure.  I'm sorry you have to experience this.  I spotted on and off for 10 days before I realized I was experiencing a 'missed m/c'.  Take care, and wish you the best.  Again, I'm sorry that you have to do any of this, it sucks. I had spotting, no hb, and slow to rise hcg at 6 weeks and my little guy is fine!

With my dd I had spotting and no hb until almost 9 weeks.  Hope all turns out well for you.
