No yolk sac or embryo at 6w4d

Hello everyone,

This is my first time posting. This is also my first pregnancy, so I do not know what is normal and what is not. Last week I had an ultrasound when I was 6w4d. The doctor did not see any yolk sac or baby. She said my gestational sac did grow from 7.5mm to 15.34mm. My hcg level went from 6292 to over 11,000, but still no baby. Im so worried and I have been crying everyday. I have another ultrasound this Friday. She said that I am in a gray area right now. There could be a baby and maybe not. She said she has seen all kinds of situtations, so dont give up yet. She said sometimes you might not see anything and the next week come in and find a heartbeat. Has this ever happened to anyone? Please help :(

I think the fact she's giving you a little hope is good, and gives you something to grasp onto until Friday.

Unfortunately, no matter if this has happened to anyone else before or not....what happens in your case is unrelated to what has happened to anyone else.   I understand completely wanting to hear lots of "happy ending" stories, but the stark fact remains that it doesn't relate to your situation in any way.

I hope everything does turn out well.  Let us know how it goes on Friday.   Lots of good thoughts coming your way.
