Not Rolling Over

Not Rolling Over

My daugther will be 5 months old next week.  She is not rolling over yet.  Apparently a few weeks ago at daycare she rolled over twice one day and she has never done it again.  I was just wondering if anyone had a child who rolled over late and if it made everything else late.  I don't think this is a problem.  I don't know but maybe it is due to the fact that she does not like to be on her tummy.  Now she has finally gotten to the point where she may stay on her tummy for 5-10 minutes but it is rare.  She just throws a fit when you put her down on her tummy.  She loves to be on her back and lays on her back a lot.  She is getting strong but just not rolling.

don't worry. every baby is different. my son HATED tummy time. he wouldnt be on the floor for a minute without whining. he didnt roll over until like 6 months i think and he wasn't fully mobile (i.e. - back to front, front to back and from laying to sitting up) until 7 months. with him it was like everything all at once. one week he rolled over, a couple weeks later, he started talking up a storm and the next week standing up in the crib and crawling. your daughter is just fine. enjoy it now b/c when she's on the move, you'll wish she was 5 months old again. haha.
