Open forum...........Chance of Infection while swimming

What are the chances of getting an infection while swimming in a local pool. My mother was a bit weary of me swimming while in the first trimester. Im 9w5d pregnant and have had 2 m/c?

As long as the pool has been treated properly you should be fine.  I believe the doctor says the only time not to swim is if you have lost your mucus plug and since you are still only in the first trimester you should be fine.  NO hot tubs though,  Do not want to raise your core bosy temperature.

i went swimming in a well cleaned and maintained pool from the day i found out i was pregnant until i was like 41 wks and i didn't get any infections or anything and had a healthy baby... like they said before if it is a clean pool you should be alright =)

I'd say swimming is a great exercise option. I wouldn't worry at all about infection (keep in mind your cervix is closed now anyway) as long as it is a clean pool.
