As long as there is plenty of ventilation and he is not directly in the same room.

We recently purchased our first home and painted literally every wall inside the house. Just to be on the safe side, we kept our then 4 month old at the other house for most of it. But, he was there for part of it and things were well ventilated and all was well.

They do make paint that emits less fumes, so that may be an option as well. Since it is a latex paint, you should be fine even if you didn't use the lower fume stuff. I imagine that if your baby spends anytime at the beauty shop while coloring or perming hair he has been exposed to far more harmful stuff than latex paint.

I UNDERSTAND THE BABY HAS BEEN EXPOSED TO THE FUMES OF THE BEAUTY SHOP. NO NAILS AND NO PERMS.  MAYBE ONCE A MONTH AND SHE IS RARELY THERE.   IT IS MY SISTER'S SHOP AND THEY WANTED ME TO HELP.  I THINK I AM GOING TO STAY CLEAR OR TAKE THE BABY TO DAYCARE EARLIER.  THANKS ALL FOR YOU HELP.
