I had a D & C at week 8 due to 'no cardiac activity' on July 29. 3 1/2 weeks later I had a period (or what I thought was a period) so on Sept 23 I started bleeding red and did for a few days. Like I said, it seemed like a normal period. My dr said he doubted I ovulated that cycle... So now Sunday would have been 4 weeks and I my period should have started right? but - we're at CD 30 and nothing... I took a HPT this afternoon and it was negative.
For those of you that have had a D & C - when did your body get back to having a normal cycle? I figure I'll wait a few days and test in the morning if nothing happens. I'm just curious for other thoughts/experiences...?
I had a D&C at 10w, I didnt get my 1st Af intill 5weeks to the day. If that was your period, your cycles are prob still adjusting. I only had one cycle before getting pregnant again. Im so sorry to hear about your m/c......
Well, I'm now on CD 32 and wondering what the heck is going on. I've spoken to two friends who have had similar experiences and they seem to think it's my body leveling out but really no one knows! Agh!
Maybe the "AF" you thought was your period wasnt and just some after math bleeding....I would hang in there alittle bit longer I know thats easyer said then done!!! My Ob said if I didnt get an Af after about 2months then to come in. I hope it comes soon for you...
It's 5 + weeks from the 'period' and almost 9 weeks from the D & C. I would LOVE to know what is going on and at what point I call the dr's office to see what they have to say. I suppose I could try charting my temp to see what's going on. Before I got pregnant with my now 15 mo old son I did that to try and find out when I was ovulating. Now I just have to remember to do that when I wake up.
After my last d&c I had two cycles of 5 to 6 weeks, then the third cycle was a 28 day cycle (and I got pregnant on that third cycle).... I know I was ovulating in those long cycles because I had an ultrasound the first cycle following and my doc told me I had just ovulated the day before (or so he thought).... sometimes it can take a while for your body to get back to normal.
So I think yesterday was 9 weeks from the D & C and today my period started. We'll see what the future has to hold - I can only imagine that I'll be back to normal. I can't imagine why I wouldn't be...
