Periods After C Section

I had a section 22/5, I since had a period early July which was brownish black in colour and lasted around 6 days, 01/08 I have again had a period which is causing me a lot of discomfort.  My tummy is swollen and tender to touch (I look about 6mth pregnant) and I am bleeding extremly heavily requiring a new pad around every 3hrs.  Also I am experiencing severe abdominal cramping and light headedness.  Obvioulsy this does not sound very normal but is it common and do I require treatment. ???

After my section my tummy was only sore and tender for about 5/6 wks i got my first period 7wks after my section and it was only slightly heavier than normal and didnt cause me any discomfort other than slight cramps and every period after that was like a regular period so i would go and see your doctor and get checked out because it doesnt sound normal to me after all its been about 10 wks since your section you should be alot more comfortable by now take care and good luck

after c-sections i had a period at 6 weeks and it was very very heavy and my tummy was hurting me too much, and i had to change the pad every half an hour, and i still look about 5 months pregnant if i leave my tommy and don't pull it back, and it is tender and very ugly with all those stretch marks, my second period was kind of heavy  but it is less than the first time, i think it will increase month after month, and ity is still not regular. i ahd first time after at 6 weeks at june 11 and then one at july 14, before  i got pregnant it was 28  days as a clock work. any way you can call your doctor and check  with him
